Cultivating is applying the knowledge of different agronomical field to get a specific target.

Rating results of cultivation is possible only when a goal has been set, so when a plan has been created before we start cultivating.

Re-creating a natural balance also in the agricultural domaine is the way to follow for avoiding stresses and diseases that generally affect plants.

Soil has to be studied into deep, analysing physical and chemical characteristics and their interaction.

Then the climate has to be taken into account, according to long time reports of precipitations, temperature and air humidy fluctuations, sunlight measurements and so on.

As a consequence, it will be important to consider if irrigation is needed or not for the crop, the quality and volume of water available in the area, and its cost.

Preparation of soil has to be designed in relation to soil features and the hydrological state of the soil, to promote colonisation by the plants. Not always needed, it has to be limited if erosion problems may occur or if organic matter has to be protected.

Considering also the biology of the soil and preserving its biodiversity and specificity make the cultivation smoother and more economic.

Studying the most appropriate method of fertilisation and products to enhance soil fertility, in relation to species, seasons and soil reservoir is a key step to get the best results in terms of qualitative characteristics of fruits. Not only applications to the soil but also foliar applications represent a way of avoiding lack of elements and nutritional problems.

A wise and well studied use of pesticides is important when some disease or pest can't be controlled only with use of the other factors mentioned. Stimulating plants to have stronger organs from the mechanic point of view and an enhanced immune system is a way to reduce the use of chemicals.

Sustainability of our choices, from the ones related to agronomic management to others of economical fields, realise the success of our cultivation process.
