Blossoming is one of the most delicate stage of the cultivation process because it is directly related to crop productivity. This process is influenced by pruning, growing degree days (GDD), luminosity, nutritional state, sanitary state,  and environmental stresses.

 

In order to achieve a full blossoming, proportional to the plants potential yield, all the mentioned factor should be considered.

 

Often the nutritional deficiencies that cause poor blossoming are not easily identified on time and can't be cured rapidly within the same cultivation cycle.

Sometimes even nutrional element is excess, like nitrogen, can produce a vegetative unbalance that favor poor blossoming.

 

Perfect development of the flowers' organs is necessary for an optimal fertility rate and consequently fruit setting. Not only the number of flowers is important, nor the number of fruits set but the quality of the fruit setting is essential to guarantee an excellent quality to fruits.
